Crucial information to select a low power MCU.
For many years, the TI MSP430 was the standard for ultra-low power applications. It is still one of the competing architectures in this file, however, it got powerful company and there are so many claims for low power that it is difficult to stay on top of things. This section of my site will discuss different approaches for power saving, define low power depending on the application and provide some recommendation what to look out for during the device selection.
